Starting as a busser at 15, Kennedy's passion for food and hospitality grew through diverse roles across the U.S., including at the Kentucky Derby, Ryder Cup, and Walt Disney World Resorts. His career evolved from large-scale corporate environments to leadership as a certified trainer and kitchen manager. In San Diego, he honed his skills in high-volume restaurants and unique settings, including serving as a chef on a sport fishing boat.
As the Chef De Cuisine at ARLO, Kennedy combines his diverse culinary background with a deep commitment to fresh, locally sourced ingredients. His leadership ensures ARLO’s menus are not only innovative but also reflective of San Diego’s vibrant culinary landscape. Passionate about creating memorable dining experiences, Kennedy’s attention to detail and dedication to quality elevate every meal, making ARLO a standout in the city’s culinary scene.

David Colgate, ARLO's lead mixologist, began his journey in the food and beverage industry at 15, starting as a busser and working his way up through various roles in both family-owned and corporate settings. Transitioning from a high-volume casino environment, he now focuses on crafting unique and elevated cocktails at ARLO. With a passion for unconventional techniques like shrub-making, tinctures, infusions, fat washing, milk clarification, and smoking, David aims to establish ARLO as a premier cocktail destination in San Diego.
